国产视频 Theological Seminary鈥檚 Student Life and Formation department is pleased to announce the creation of the Office of Wesleyan Discipleship, a new initiative designed to deepen the Seminary鈥檚 commitment to its Wesleyan identity and engage students in practices at the heart of the early Methodist renewal.

The new office will provide focused leadership for Wesleyan discipleship across the Seminary, with particular attention to the class meeting. In these small communities, believers gathered to attend to the work of God in their lives, encourage one another, and 鈥渨atch over one another in love.鈥�

As part of the launch of the new office, Rev. Dr. D. Gregory McElyea has been named Director of Wesleyan Discipleship, and Flordeliza Ramos will serve as Coordinator for Wesleyan Discipleship. Together, they will help develop and implement opportunities for students to participate in Wesleyan practices of Christian community, accountability, and spiritual formation.

Matthew Barnes, Vice President of Student Life and Formation. 鈥淗is deep knowledge of discipleship, love for students, and genuine enthusiasm for bringing the class meeting to a new generation will serve this initiative well. I look forward to seeing the thoughtful ways Greg and Flordeliza will help our students draw upon the richness of our Wesleyan heritage as students help one another grow in grace and holy love.鈥�

The creation of the Office of Wesleyan Discipleship also reflects a broader evolution in how Student Life and Formation supports students. As part of this transition, the Seminary is moving toward an integrated model in which offices within Student Life and Formation serve students across locations and modalities.
